Basement Renovations

Brian and his team are great! We did a complete remodel of a house that we recently purchased. His team did the tile work in two of our three bathrooms. Another company did the tile in the third bathroom. He workmanship is much better than the other company’s. He always called back when I had to leave a message. Not all of the other contractors did. My only negative is that it took longer than promise. Most of the delay was on the tile company, Virginia Tile in Farmington. He used them because we asked him. Neither of us will use them again. Some of the delay was on me. Some on Brain, who took another job that demanded more time than he realized. Despite the delay I would still hire him again. I really appreciate his integrity and his high quality craftsmanship.

After getting several quotes on completely finishing our basement, Brian was very competitive in winning our business. He succeeded, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Our project manager, Steve was here, working hard almost every day and sometimes the only person here getting the work done. Mitten made basements completed a kitchen, dinning room and hard wood remodel for me. Brian’s team was worderful to work with. Everyday Brian was communicating with me. We had trouble with the cabinets and Brian did everything to rectify the problem. I can’t say enough of how proud I am to show off the work he and his team completed .

I had a water heater-related disaster in my laundry room, Mitten Made Renovations completely replaced the subfloor and floor of the room. I showed the before and after photos to my co-workers. 6 out of 6 co-workers agree: It looks great! And here are the aforementioned before and after photos.

Mitten Made Basements did a fabulous job installing a new tub and tiling one of my bathrooms. They were very professional to work with from the estimating to the final finish of the project. We had a few bumps, which were easily handled and their tile installer, Victor, was simply outstanding in his approach and execution of the project. Very satisfied also with their price.

From start through the end of project, Brian communicated consistently with me regarding schedule, and always answered my calls. He worked with me accommodating all my choices and made my vision come true. His professional team removed the old then installed new cabinets, tile, light fixtures, plumbing and electrical. We got a few quotes before we decided to go with Brian and his crew and the decision was mostly made due to Brian’s practical/down to earth/respectful attitude. I've used this renovation team on several different projects, including a full kitchen redo with removal of soffits, installation of new cabinets and countertops and tile. They also updated my powder room with a new cabinet, sink and toilet, installed wood molding, trim and base boards in the hallway, and completed several paint jobs. I've been very happy with the work that they've done and highly recommend Mitten Made. Beyond receiving quality work, they have a good vision for design and solutions.

Needed some work done in one of my bathrooms at home. Brian came out and gave me a good quote right away. Tom did the work and everything came out great. Between Mary in the office, Brian and Tom it was a pleasure doing business with them. Will gladly use them again as needed.

We have worked with many contractors over the years. These guys are top notch. We have done two jobs with them to install safety railings to challenging exterior stairs at our lake home which is built into a hill. The stairs in question had unique turns and existing landscaping around them to work around. They got it done on a tight schedule and it looks gorgeous. In addition to quality work, they have superb communication. We will 100% be using them for future projects. So glad to have found someone reliable to work with in the area.

We hired Mitten Made to do our shower remodel this spring and they did a wonderful job. We had an old 3 panel insert shower that we wanted ripped out and replaced with tile. We also had them replace 3 toilets in our home and repaint the bathroom that the shower was in. Brian was very friendly when he visited to quote out our job and his team (Liam, Tom and Viktor) that came to do the work did a great job. They were very considerate and left the job site clean as they found it. They picked up all materials from the store for the start of the job and hauled away all the garbage and old toilets as well at the end. We enjoyed working with Mitten Made and would certainly work with them again for future projects.

I had a very positive experience with Mitten Made, specifically the owner, Brian Surrett. He was on top of everything all the time and always made sure that things were progressing to my satisfaction. If things took a left turn, he verified before taking another step. Great work, but what I appreciated even more was the constant communication.

I'm amazed at the speed with which Mitten Made worked! They had to replace a toilet, flooring in my bathroom, and a big piece of ceiling. It was all done, paint included, in 2-3 days (it was so fast I can't remember!) Brian couldn't be nicer and more up front and honest. The workers Steve (a probable roller hockey opponent in the past), John (great playlist), and Melvin were all nice, talented, trustworthy, and speedy! I can't recall the office manager's name, I'm sorry, but she was wonderful as well. Tremendous communication all around. So impressed.

Was very pleased with the quality of work done in my kitchen. Brian was easy to do business with and Alex was a gem who took pride in his tile laying ability. NICE JOB!!!

Every detail was amazing in our remodeled master bath. I can't say enough to express our satisfaction. The tradespeople were all perfectionists and the owners bent over backwards to ensure a good result. This was a full custom job...but half the price (and twice the quality) of the advertised "3 day" bathroom makeovers.
